Sometimes it's nice to solve on paper, but
AcrossLite maximizes the grid size, which means that the squares
change size from one day to the next.
Here is a Windows program (NOT Windows
Mobile) that lets you pick a directory containing one or more .puz
files, select the ones you want to print, and prints them two to a
page. LIMITATIONS (TO BE FIXED): Only works for 15x15 puzzles -- a
larger grid will simply overflow the available space. I'll get to
that. If a clue word is too wide it will overflow the column rather
than hyphenate. Doesn't take your particular printer's "unprintable"
margin into account. REQUIREMENTS: You must have the Arial and Georgia
fonts installed. Requires .NET 2.0 runtime. FEATURES: Includes the
"notepad" at the top of the clues and draws circled squares. (Updated
11-Jan-2007 to fix a few glitchs.)
